  • Reminder: 18-19 AIR Secure Browser Must Be Installed by January 1

The 2017-2018 version of the AIR Secure Browser will not be supported for ELPT Training Tests, Screeners, or Summative Tests starting January 1, 2019. To determine which version of the Secure Browser is currently installed on a computer, open the Secure Browser. The version number is displayed in the bottom right-hand corner of the "Sign In" box. Here are the version numbers of the 2018-2019 Secure Browsers for each operating system:

    • Windows – 10.4
    • Mac OS X – 10.6
    • Linux – 10.4

Update: New Secure Browser for MacOS 10.13 and 10.14

This message pertains only to districts and schools using devices with MacOS to administer online tests; all others may disregard this message. AIR has completed the review of MacOS 10.14 and determined a new secure browser is required to support this new operating system. Additionally, a minor security issue has been discovered for MacOS 10.13.

To allow support of 10.14 and to resolve the security issue in 10.13, Mac Secure Browser 10.6 will be available beginning on Thursday, November 29. This new browser will work on all versions of MacOS that are currently supported (10.9+) so devices running on these operating systems must update to the new Secure Browser 10.6.

Beginning on Tuesday, January 1, Mac Secure Browser 10.6 will be required for all devices running on MacOS 10.9-10.14 to access the secure student testing site.

If you have any questions about this information or need assistance with installing the Secure Browser, contact the Louisiana Help Desk at 1.866.758.0231 or

  • Orders for Braille Tests for the ELPT Summative Assessment

TIDE is now back online and the ELPT Summative Assessment window is February 4, 2019 through March 15. Orders for Braille tests for the ELPT Summative Assessment must be placed by November 7 to ensure delivery to districts prior to the start of the Summative test window. To place an order for paper or large print materials, please contact the Louisiana ELPT Help Desk. To place an order for Braille tests, log into TIDE, click on “Paper Ordering” under “Preparing for Testing” and then choose “Initial Orders.” Choose a school in your district and then click “Search.” An order window will open. Enter the quantity of materials you need and then click “Save.” One version of the Braille test is available: UEB Contracted.

The quantity of kindergarten and grade 1 paper writing tests your district receives will be automatically calculated based upon the number of students uploaded from the state file into TIDE for your district, so paper writing supplements are not available for direct order. Some orders may require state approval before they are processed, so please place your order for Braille tests as soon as possible.

An additional order window will open on January 17 for orders for Braille tests for any students who enrolled in your district after the November 7 cut-off for initial orders. Orders placed during the additional order window will be extracted and shipped daily. At that time you will also be able to order additional kindergarten and grade 1 paper writing supplements if needed.
